Terms of Service
Last updated: May 5, 2026
Welcome to HomeJournal. These terms ("Terms") govern your use of the HomeJournal website and app (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
Using the Service
You must be at least 13 years old to use HomeJournal. You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You agree to use the Service in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.
Early access
HomeJournal is currently in early access. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice while we build the product. We appreciate your patience and feedback.
Your content
You keep ownership of any home, asset, or maintenance information you add to HomeJournal ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to host and process Your Content solely so we can provide the Service to you.
You're responsible for Your Content and for making sure you have the right to add it to HomeJournal.
Acceptable use
- Don't use the Service to break the law or infringe anyone's rights.
- Don't try to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
- Don't upload malware or content that's harmful, hateful, or illegal.
Pricing and payment
Some features may be free during early access. We'll give you clear notice before charging you for the Service, and any paid plans will be subject to terms presented at sign-up.
Termination
You can stop using HomeJournal and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to other users or to HomeJournal.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. HomeJournal helps you organize information about your home; it isn't a substitute for professional inspection, repair, or safety advice. You're responsible for the maintenance decisions you make.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HomeJournal will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
